There are
many types of different blushers and different tones of blushers from many
brands, which will suite different skin types, and tones and also seasonal make
up trends and colours. They come in the form of powder, cream, liquid or gels. Different forms have specific purposes and suitability to
different situations, but it is best to pick a brand, colour and texture which
is suitable for the person’s skin you’re working on keeping the skin type in
mind also as this could be oily, normal or dry. Powder blush is usually good for all types of skin and is considered the best for the oily skin and
for those who are looking for long-lasting colour. Powder blusher
comes in many different shades and colours and is best applied after face
powder is put on as it will lie on top of your skin and add a nice glow of
colour. Cream blush offers a more intense colour than the powder blushes and is
best applied over the foundation but before powder and also comes in a variety
of different shades and colours. Gel or
Liquid Blush is usually
considered to work best on oily to normal skin because these blushers last
longer and many are oil-free. Gel blush is often fast-drying therefore it is
hard to spread onto dry skin; gel blush should be applied over foundation or to
bare skin. There are also tinted blushers which are usually multi-functional so
you can use them on your cheeks and lips and are like a stain these need to be
blended well and quickly but will not move all day until you come to take your
make-up off. There are also many different highlighters from powders to creams
and a variety of colours, when picking a highlighter you should take the skin
tone into consideration. Highlighters boost your complexion and accentuate your
best areas on your face you should apply highlighter. The aim when applying highlighter is to get a
reflective dewy look that makes you look like you just moisturised your skin
and makes your best features really stand out and glow. When applying blusher
and highlighter onto my model I went for a really natural looking glow I wanted
the cheek colour to look like the natural pinkie/red tones of my models skin
almost like she does not have blusher on along with some highlighter that
brightens up my models skin giving it a glow.
