Advanced plaiting

We played around with creating lots of different plaits these plaits ranged from the Dutch reverse plait, waterfall plait and few playful ones. Plaits can make a hairstyle look complicated and really good when they can be very simple to sometimes create and are always a popular hairstyle. When it comes to explaining how to do a plait it is much easier to do it in person and show how they are created than to write how to do it. The one plait I found hardest to do was the reverse/Dutch French plait I could not get my head around going underneath with the hair instead of over the top like a normal plait this took me a few attempts to achieve. Many of the plaits were quite simple when you played and got use to them it more difficult just because they are very fiddly.
How to create the dutch/reverse plait brush the hair straight back start braiding Crossing the right strand under the centre strand, then cross the left strand under the centre strand. Keep repeating the pattern and cross the right strand, then the left strand, under the centre strand your hands will get muddled especially when you start picking up hair to add in so it’s easier to do it slowly. When you start to add hair in cross the right strand under the centre, and pick up another small section from the right side of your head. Cross the left strand under the centre, and pick up another small section from the left side of your head. Add more hair to your braid by picking up small strands every time you cross pieces under the centre strand keep doing this. When you get to the nape of your neck start to finish your braid with a regular braid going under rather than over when you run out of hair to add and then tie up at the end.
