Lips, shape and application

When creating a lip look it is always a good idea to conceal the lips first so colours won’t show through. Dark colours pinch small lips and make them look smaller where as something that has a shine in it will make the lips look bigger always stay with the bottom lip line and angle the cupids bow to get a nice shape and add a shine to the middle section of the lips to make them look fuller. We had to use 3 different products on the lips to create lip looks. For my first red lip look I prepped the lip making sure they were not to dry and asking my model to apply some lip balm to them. I then used my red mac lip pencil sharpening it first as you should always do before using a pencil on a new client or model and applying this all over the lip creating the outline first then filling in the rest of the lips. After doing this I used the red in the supra colour palette which is quite glossy anyway and applied this over the red lip pencil filling in the lips with an added colour which looked really nice as an end result. I then went on to create a pink lip I started off by using a light mac chromo graphic pencil to line around the lips just to get a good outline before applying my colour after this I went on to use the pink in my aqua colour palette mixed a small amount of water to this and applying the colour all over the lip resulting in a bright pink matte lip look, after seeing it as a matte lip I then applied a small amount of mac shine to the middle parts of the lips to see how this changed the lip look.
